Five Reasons to Practice Silence

Our mind, body, and soul need a break from the chit-chats. At times, when we are surrounded by continuous noise pollutions, we should give our ears a break. It is good for our wellbeing and mental peace.


Since the day starts, we are surrounded by the chimes of notifications, bells, and noise pollutions and by the end of the day; we are so exhausted that we go to bed. Silence makes our mind calm and sanity alive.


It is not easy to practice silence as we, human beings don’t have the habit to stay quiet. We are continuously talking and laughing. Silence brings the vulnerable side of our persona and makes us crave for peace.

At times, silence is the best answer. Not everyone deserves your reactions and you don’t need to get hurt by the people who matter to you. Your attention is not to be distributed by the people who don`t value you.


It is difficult to practice silence and summon within yourself, but not impossible. We have listed 5 reasons on why you should practice silence?


1. Relives stress and tensions- In life, we have problems. Some are big, some are small but we all have. There is nothing better we can do except face them, but that doesn’t mean it takes away your peace. It disrupts your sleep and makes you moody and frustration. By practicing silence which you can attain through meditation, you will find inner peace and a route that relishes away your stress and problems. A sense of content will reside in you.


2. Development in personality and language skill- Silence makes you emotionally stable and wellbeing of your mental peace. As you practice silence on daily basis, you will feel the changes as you become more confident and secure. You are open, friendly and experiment with things that used to scare you. Your old habits change with new ones and that is a positive sign for personality development.


Also, the way you talk and carry you improves. Silence brings the peak side of you, making you grow as a person.


3. Relaxing- Studies have proven that practicing 2 mins of silence is more soothing and relaxing than hearing music. If you feel that things are going overboard and you need a break, just cut yourself and solitude yourself in an isolated place and stay calm and silent. It calms your blood pressure and makes you feel relax.


4. Mind, body, and soul- When you meditate, you prior yourself. The feelings a profound emotions are recognised and you start to acknowledge yourself. Unlike earlier, where you prioritize your likes and dislikes.


5. Healthy lifestyle- Once you get to the path of practicing silence, your diet improves. You eat healthy and work out. The glow and shine can be seen from your face.


In today`s time when the world is a busy and mean place and insecurity and jealously is spreading like dust, be your own shelter and practice meditation to regain silence and be a new improved version of yourself.
